This work is a clinical and academic guide to mastering the art of acupuncture point location. It is a compilation drawn from the experience of distinguished traditional Chinese medical doctors, including Professor Guo Chang-qing, Dr. Liu Nai-Gang, Dr. Hu Bo, and many others. It features detailed descriptions of all the acupuncture points along the channels and vessels as well as 65 important extra points. Each point has a complete description of point locations and includes for each the indications, actions, clinical combinations, and meaning. This work also includes the relevant needling and moxibustion techniques for each point, information that is complemented by over 1315 expert graphic illustrations with anatomical cross sections to highlight the correct depth and direction of insertion and juxtaposition of anatomical features. The intent of this book is to function as a clear and exact point location manual as well as a reference for clinical actions and indications of the points. It will aptly serve as an academic and practical reference for the serious student and senior practitioner alike for both clinical and teaching work.
