Post-surgical complications involve symptoms remaining after an operation, or else occur where an operation fails
to completely remove the appropriate pathological physical tissue. In such cases acupuncture is able to promote
self-healing and regulate physiological processes, whilst herbal medicine can reduce inflammation, target specific
symptoms and facilitate healing. In this paper the authors present four cases involving post-surgical complications
that were successfully treated with traditional Chinese medicine.
