ELECTROACUPUNCTURE FOR DOGS’ DISKS
Electroacupuncture is an effective treatment for intervertebral disk disease in dogs. Fifty dogs with signs of thoracolumbar intervertebral disk disease were randomly allocated to receive either electroacupuncture stimulation combined with standard Western medical treatment, or standard treatment alone. The dogs receiving electroacupuncture took significantly less time to recover and start walking unassisted again.
