Other information

Avi will be returning to the college on 22nd & 23rd June 2019. He is hugely appreciated by those who have attended his recent seminars in the UK and has been praised for the depth and clarity of his explanation as well as his generous follow- up support. Avi is well known for teaching his unique take on Japanese acupuncture. There are many ways to create a successful treatment, and there are also times when we use our best efforts and still fail. This class will look at how we find our best strategies, utilise the best protocols, and maximise flexibility, so as to avert failure and increase success. We shall learn protocols to handle common conditions, and also how to look beyond the condition. We shall look at points commonly used, ones we might name "constitutional points." The use of these points can be applied whether you use palpatory based acupuncture (which Avi utilises and teaches) or any other style. This will enable you to apply the material discussed immediately in your clinic, in your own way. Much of Avi's current work is based on looking at point names and how they connect with our current understanding of physiology. We can see that the Ancient founders of our medicine had a sense of much of our modern physiology and offer ways to treat conditions using contemporary knowledge and language. Avi teaches a palpatory style of acupuncture where one can immediately test, evaluate, and reapply treatments. He teaches through both presentation and discussion as well as live treatments of patients. We will look at real patients with complex conditions such as autoimmune disorders, neurological, endocrinological, and gynaecological conditions and more.
