Chinese Traditional Healing: A New Window onto Chinese Medicine
This article draws on an extensive introductory essay which forms part of Chinese Traditional Healing, a three-volume work that I and Zheng Jinsheng published last year.[1] This presents, annotates and analyses a collection of 881 manuscript texts from the past 400 years (mostly from the 19th and early 20th centuries), now held by the Staatsbibliothek Preussischer Kulturbesitz and the Ethnology Museum in Berlin.
