This Yixing 'wuni' clay gaiwan set has elegant design and superb function. The contemporary design makes it simple to infuse and ideal for a tea ceremony for one at home or in the office.

Yixing is a picturesque city located on the Taihu Lake in Jiangsu Province in China. The town is famous for its clay teaware, which dates back to the Song dynasty (960-1279). Yinxing teaware is prized because of its fine, porous, and metal-rich clay, which is perfect for making teapots. The clay holds heat very well and because the pots are not glazed they absorb the tea oils, which make the teaware more lustrous and ‘seasoned’ with flavour.

Do not wash your Yixing gaiwan with soap; just rinse well and let it become seasoned with your tea tasting adventures.
