Review: Chinese Traditional Healing: The Berlin Collection by Pa
Chinese Traditional Healing is a major work which presents and comments on a collection of 881 hand-written manuscripts describing diverse aspects of folk medicine in China. Material from the past 400 years is included, though most of the sources date from the 19th and early 20th century. The manuscripts were acquired over a period of four decades in various East Asian countries, the great majority apparently originating in mainland China.
