Qi deficiency and emotional distress are commonly seen in cancer patients, and may result in reducing the quality of life (QOL) of cancer patients. We hypothesize that the Kuan Sin Yuan (KSY) decoction and three-month Buddhism-based group stress reduction program can help cancer outpatients improve their QOL.
